Butler a #13 seed?!?

You do realize they're going to be a Preseason Top 25 team, right?

Maybe you've heard of A.J. Graves, Mike Green, or Pete Campbell... if not, maybe you should shoot Gary Williams an e-mail.

And how long are you going to ignore that comment that was left four days ago about the Horizon League not being included with the other "Mid" conferences? Because presently, it's a glaring inconsistency in your work.

It was posted on two different threads and I responded to it on one of them. I had a long response, and you can read of it what you will.

If you give a team a 12 seed or higher then it means you think of them as an at-large team. I simply don't see Butler being an at-large team two years in a row. that's why I give them a 12. That NIT run was a fluke, even the most die-hard fan can't expect that type of performance two years in a row.

Even if they are Preseason Top 25, the preseason rankings are not the best predictor. Plenty of teams start in the Top 25 and miss the Tournament altogether.

Butler's NIT run was a fluke?

How then would you explain them going on to beat Purdue a few weeks later and then Maryland in March? How did they get to the Sweet 16 and lead the eventual National Champion, Florida Gators with less than four minutes to go?

Butler could compete with anybody this past season. They did it November and again in March.

That would have to be the biggest fluke in the world considering they won the most games in school and conference history, and not to mention all the big schools knocked off. I don't have a problem with them being 13 because we are always underestimated but to say it was a fluke you obviously do not know basketball
