W-10 BP68

We are only ten weeks from Selection Sunday and every major conference has started their regular seasons. The season goes by so fast, doesn't it?

It's too early to start talking about a "bubble" too seriously, but the teams that are eventually going to make up the bubble are starting to come into focus. The RPI is still a pretty crappy metric, but within a few weeks it will start looking like it will at the end of the season.

In the end, there were two changes to the projected Field of 68 this week. USC and Texas Tech move in as projected at-large teams, while Davidson and Syracuse drop out.

Remember, this is a projection of what the bracket will look like on Selection Sunday, and not a measure of where teams would be if the season ended now.

For now, here's how I see things ending up on Selection Sunday:

1. KANSAS (BIG 12)
1. MICHIGAN STATE (BIG TEN)
1. NORTH CAROLINA (ACC)

16. SOUTHERN (SWAC)

Teams seriously considered that just missed the cut:
Syracuse, Davidson, VCU, Georgetown, Seton Hall, Northwestern, Ohio State, Evansville, Boise State, Arizona State, Saint Mary's

Other teams with a decent shot, but that need to improve their resume:
Memphis, Tulsa, Georgia Tech, NC State, Wake Forest, Rhode Island, Richmond, St. Bonaventure, St. Joseph's, Creighton, Marquette, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Northern Iowa, UNLV, Stanford, Washington, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, BYU

Other teams I'm keeping my eye on, but that need to dramatically improve their resume:
Houston, Temple, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Illinois,  Penn State, UC-Irvine, UNC-Wilmington, Northeastern, William & Mary, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Kent State, Southern Illinois, Fresno State, New Mexico, Washington State, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Arkansas-Little Rock
