Hi everybody. Just posting to let you know that I haven't fallen off the side of the Earth. The fact is that once we get through the first round or so of the Tournament, it just becomes pointless to analyze anymore. Everybody and their sister has something to say about all of these teams, and most of it is incredibly repetitive and trite.
Personally, I just post through the first couple of days of the Tournament, to see how my bracket predictions came out. This year it was pretty successful, and we learned a few lessons. For one thing, trust the numbers over your intuition. The Sagarin Ratings are an incredibly sound way to pick teams to advance. Also, home/road records aren't as important as one might have thought.
More importantly, you might be wondering when regular posting will be back. The answer is that I've already started work on the 2008-09 conference previews. They will start getting posted by the end of this weekend. As always, all of the conference previews and the first BP65 of the new season will be out within one week of the Championship Game. So you can be sure to have the entire set of next season's previews available by April 14th.
